Daniel Krause

Daniel Krause is an American artist who earned his MFA at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou, China in 1993.  At the Academy, Daniel studied under Liang Ming Cheng, one of China's most prominent contemporary sculptors. Since graduation, Daniel has remained in South China where he maintains his studio exhibiting internationally and teaching metal fabrication as an Art Professor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art.

Daniel's first major solo museum exhibition was in April of 2005, at the Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou, China.  His major influences are Ancient Bronzes, Stone and Terracotta Figures of Egypt, Japan, and China - archetypal modes that Krause reinterprets with his own contemporary lexicon.
